  My love of language began during a vacation to Chile. I discovered that with a little effort to communicate and a lot of humor, doors to the whole world seemed to open.

  Upon returning home to Ohio, I became aware of a profound need in my local immigrant community and began volunteering to interpret for medical appointments. After seeing that I could make a difference between a potentially detrimental health outcome and appropriate care, I decided to pursue medical interpretation professionally.
  
  Now, I have many years of experience: from scenarios in maternal fetal medicine to palliative care. As a Certified Healthcare Interpreter™-Spanish, staying up to date with medical terminology to provide consistent accuracy proves my commitment to a standard of ethical professional excellence.
